Bike Sizing Calculator
Find the right bike frame size based on your height and inseam.
How to Use This Calculator
Measure Your Inseam
For most accurate results, measure your inseam: stand barefoot against a wall with feet 6-8 inches apart, place a book spine-up between your legs (like sitting on a saddle), pull the book firmly up, and measure from the floor to the top of the book spine. This measurement is more accurate than height alone.
Select Bike Type
Choose the type of bike you're sizing: road bike, mountain bike, hybrid, or other. Sizing conventions differ significantly between bike types, so this selection ensures you get appropriate frame size recommendations.
Get Your Size Recommendation
Enter your height and inseam measurement, then calculate. The tool will recommend frame sizes specific to your chosen bike type, typically showing both a primary recommendation and acceptable range. Note any special considerations for your proportions.
Test Ride Before Buying
Use the calculator results as a starting point, but always test ride before purchasing. Check that you have 1-2 inches of standover clearance, can comfortably reach the handlebars, and feel stable when straddling the bike. Small adjustments in seat and handlebar position can fine-tune the fit.
