Class Rank Calculator
Calculate your class rank percentile and see if you are in the top 10%, 25%, etc.
How to Use This Calculator
Enter Your Class Rank
Input your current class rank - your numerical position within your graduating class. This information is typically found on your transcript or can be obtained from your school counselor. For example, if you're ranked 45th in your class, enter 45.
Enter Total Class Size
Input the total number of students in your graduating class. This is the denominator in your rank (e.g., if you're 45 out of 350, enter 350). Make sure this represents your full graduating class, not just students with calculated ranks.
Calculate Your Percentile
Click calculate to see your class rank expressed as a percentile and determine which tier you fall into (top 1%, top 5%, top 10%, top 25%, top 50%). This percentile representation helps you understand your academic standing in a more standardized way, useful for comparing across different sized schools.
Understand Your Results
Use your percentile to gauge competitiveness for college admissions, scholarship eligibility, or honor society membership. Remember that class rank is just one factor in admissions - course rigor, test scores, extracurriculars, and essays also matter significantly.
